About Ash ⬇️

  • Ash has been in elite youth sports for over 10 years. He has a BSc in Sport Coaching (First Class Honours), MSc in Applied Sport & Exercise Science and is Accredited with the United Kingdom Strength & Conditioning Association, the gold standard S&C qualification in the UK.

  • Ash currently supports a range of clients at Salopia Health & Performance in Shrewsbury & online. Including National and British champions, academy footballers and general clients wanting to improve their health, strength and fitness. He leads the S&C programme at Shrewsbury Town FC Women’s Academy and consults for a range of teams and organisations.

  • Ash was most recently the Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Great Britain Olympic, Paralympic & Junior Archery Team and has supported them in winning over 60 international medals at World & European events. He was the Lead S&C Coach for Scottish Rugby Union U16-U20 Exiles, Professional Rugby, Sheffield FC Ladies, England Basketball U17’s, Consultant at Sheffield Hallam University, and Football and Tennis Academies amongst others.

Kids shouldn’t lift weights is the biggest myth in youth sports and the wider community, we present the research to dispel these myths from world leading associations and paediatric experts.

Programme Options.

We offer a wide range of services to meet everyone’s needs. Whether that is our weekly large group or small group sessions, a 1:1 individualised plan with one of our coaches or 1:1 coaching sessions face to face or online. Either way, our plans will take your development & performance to the next level.

  • These are our youth specific weekly group sessions led by expert paediatric coaches to help improve athletic development through movement, power, speed & strength training. Currently face to face in Shrewsbury, online options are coming soon.

  • This is for youngsters who want very specific and detailed coaching on a regular basis to take their development & performance to the next level as quickly as possible.

  • This is your individualised specific strength & conditioning plan, designed either face-to-face or via video call with one of our coaches. This is tailored to your training week, specific areas for development, and future sporting ambitions.

  • These are our regular weekly or bi-weekly small group coaching sessions either face-to-face or online for people who want that extra level of support. We provide expert coaches to guide you every step of the way.
